Our lovely house is set in a beautiful situation in a quiet very friendly hamlet only a few minutes drive from the well-known bastide towns of Eymet and Miramont de Guyenne, with easy access to all commerces, schooling, medical centres, restaurant & bars.
Both towns offer a warm and lively welcome to locals and tourists alike and the region itself offers a wide variety of historic sites, chateaux wonderful places to visit and a very full range of activities in which to participate. These include walking, cycling, canoeing as well as many markets.
The house was built for us in 2005 and was positioned to take full advantage of the lovely views to the north and south and to enjoy outdoor living with terraces on both those sides. The 11000m2 of land is well tended and is partly surrounded by a very attractive variety of mature bushes and trees, including an excellent orchard.
We designed the house for very easy upkeep, with all bedrooms en-suite. Heating is very efficiently provided by a geothermic heat-pump, and fully automatic underfloor heating – the heat pump also contributes to the hot water supply. There is also a quality wood stove, though barely used due to the efficiency of the geothermic supply.
